Pike clinic in the polder

A clinic is not a guided day in the boat. You stand on the bank of a polder ditch near Mijdrecht with a group of six to ten people, and in one day you learn how to catch pike there yourself. We start with coffee and theory: where the pike sits, which lure works and how to read a spot before you make your first cast. After that we go fishing, with guidance beside you. It costs 75 euros a person and 100 euros for a parent with a child, against a few hundred euros for a day with a guide in the boat. Beforehand you get an e-learning module on pike, so you do not start from zero on the day itself. No experience needed.

How the day runs

We start with coffee or tea and theory about pike in the polder. After that we head to the water and you fish with guidance beside you.

Beforehand you get an e-learning module on pike, so you do not start from zero on the day itself. There is a prize for the biggest pike of the day.

Mijdrecht can be reached by car and by public transport.
